Beginning this fall, the APCA Leadership Development Program (LDP) will transition to a new quarterly schedule aligned with APCA Safety Meetings in Houston, Texas. The first session under the new format is October 29-30.
LDP aims to prepare the next generation of leaders for APCA member companies and the pipeline construction industry. Led by leadership consultant Andy Patron, HELPS, the program blends practical leadership lessons, interactive discussions, and mock real-world challenges designed to help participants become more effective communicators and team builders, including Individual assessments to identify each person's personality preferences.
The first module under the new format will cover Self Awareness. Participants will learn the difference between management and leadership and gain exposure to leadership topics such as self-perception, emotional intelligence, self-management, effective delegation, and action planning.
Program participants can arrive early and attend some or all of the APCA Safety Meeting on the morning of October 29, providing an additional opportunity to learn from subject-matter experts and connect with peers before the LDP begins.
