Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future has released two new videos on the vital importance of natural gas, one featuring APCA President Roy Weaver, Weaver, LLC, and another featuring the workers of APCA contractors.
APCA is proud to be part of the Natural Allies for a Clean Energy Future and salute President Weaver for clearly articulating the beliefs of our members. "We know that the supply in this country is not a problem. We have an abundant supply of natural gas. We just need to be able to get it where it needs to go. We need to be able to get it to our homes, our factories and our communities."
.The employees of APCA members speak eloquently about what natural gas means to the future of our country and about the benefits that a career in pipeline construction brings to them and their families.
"You know without jobs like this, the economy would suffer. This is what moves me and my family forward. I depend on this job a lot--all of us do," Sandy Hendrix, Site Safety Coordinator, Castle, says.
.Natural Allies is a coalition of interested stakeholders, including APCA, that recognize the vital role natural gas and its infrastructure must play in the energy mix. Natural gas partnered with renewable energy can accelerate our path to a clean energy future, ensuring affordability and reliability while reducing carbon emissions domestically and internationally. As most of you likely have heard, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has suspended enforcement of its Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) on vaccine mandates for large private businesses after a federal appeals court blocked the measure
OSHA posted a message regarding the ETS on its website on November 12: https://www.osha.gov/coronavirus/ets2
“The court ordered that OSHA 'take no steps to implement or enforce' the ETS [Emergency Temporary Standard] 'until further court order.' While OSHA remains confident in its authority to protect workers in emergencies, OSHA has suspended activities related to the implementation and enforcement of the ETS pending future developments in the litigation,” OSHA said.
