Included will be federal legislation, federal regulatory and other federal labor agency actions, important court decisions, and other developments that impact the workplace. The discussion will also include practical tips for dealing with these developments, where appropriate. 11:15 am - Noon APCA Regular Member Meeting Open to APCA Regular (Contractor) members only. The meeting will be a fast-paced and frank discussion that touches on the various segments of the industry and promotes the sharing of insights and opinions from contractors working in different market sectors all over North America. 12:30 - 3:30 pm Culinary & Cocktail Tour New Orleans has always had a unique relationship with spirits. The term cocktail, or “coktay,” originated here in the 1830s, and spirits continue to play a large part in the personality up to present day. Today, New Orleans’ love affair with spirits has evolved to include microbreweries, distilleries, and bitters production, all using local farm products. You will stroll the French Quarter to visit several of the city’s oldest and most historic bars and taverns to learn about the history of these establishments and to enjoy a signature libation from each. $125 includes tour guide, three beverage stops in historic bars, three food stops, and taxes & gratuities. 12:30 - 3:30 pm Cooking Demo Enjoy an authentic Louisiana meal prepared by a star chef right in front of you. Watch an expert chef chop, prepare, and season a complete meal, and afterwards sit down and enjoy the delicious dishes that were created.
